This is one of the most famous traditional markets in Chuncheon. It took its current form thanks to the market revitalization project that has been put into practice since 2002. It offers a diversity of products encompassing hanbok, bags, shoes, clothes, jewelries, and food with warm-hearted care and love. It has become even more famous as a number of Japanese and Southeast Asian people visit the market because of the phenomenal popularity of the TV drama Winter Sonata. It is a market highly beloved by foreign tourists as it is located near Myeongdong Dakgalbi Alley of Chuncheon. Interestingly, at 17:00 from Monday to Saturday, vendor-turned-DJs share inspirational quotes, deliver the news on the market, and discuss how to stay healthy with exciting and romantic music in the background.
